Atria is an abundant source of inspiration for everyone looking for information and expertise about gender equality and women’s history. It has one of the oldest historic and contemporary collections about women and gender worldwide. Our archives contain extraordinary and surprising items that are well worth seeing. Moreover, our tastefully designed building merits a visit in itself. Hence, Atria is organising guided tours of both its premises and the collections.
This is intended for everyone who is interested in the gender perspective and/or wishes to be inspired by the opulent women’s history preserved at the Vijzelstraat in Amsterdam. You are welcome whether you come with a group of students, as a researcher or purely out of personal interest. Naturally it’s possible to adapt the guided tour to your specific concerns.
The size of the group comprises a maximum of 15 people and a minimum of 3. Guided tours are held exclusively during opening hours.
The cost of a guided tour varies with each target group:
- Dutch-language: €50
- Dutch-language students: free of charge
- English-language: €100
English-language students: €50
Prices include value added tax
When requested, we can provide a quotation for a guided tour that is made to measure and/or held after hours.
Each guided tour lasts for approximately one hour.
