This year we are celebrating 90 years of history.

As an independent knowledge institute, we support researchers, policymakers and social partners with our expertise and collection, and contribute reliable knowledge to the social debate on gender equality.

The collection

Atria's collection consists of a large assortment of different types of sources, including archives, books, articles and magazines, photographs, objects, moving images and sound recordings, sheet music and personal documents. Our collection can be consulted in our study room upon request and is also accessible digitally.

Yes, Atria has moved to 28A Hamburgerstraat in Utrecht.

The relocation and fitting out of our external storage facility has been slightly delayed. You will be able to request items again from 30 June 2026.

Yes, you can visit us by appointment to view archives and journals, and to borrow books. You can always access our resources online. Browse our digital collection and book an appointment on our collection-website.

The reading room is open from Tuesday to Thursday, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Atria is always open online. For more information, visit collectie.atria.nl.

No, there will be no guided tours in the near future.
